Beyoncé has set the bar quite high for gifts this year in her family… It is the “word on the tweet” that she recently gifted a fine Hublot timepiece to her husband, Jay Z. The watch she supposedly gave him is a special edition Hublot Big Bang that is literally covered in diamonds.

The timepiece is supposed to have been given to Jay-Z as a gift by Beyoncé for his birthday and it makes one wonder what on Earth he will be getting for Christmas this year! The wach has 1,282 diamonds on its face and its bracelet — the entire Hublot watch — and total more than 140 carats. The Hublot timepiece is made from White Gold to hold and support all of the valuable gemstones.

This Hublot timepiece holds not only value in its materials and diamond & gold weight, but also in its design and build. Hublot purportedly took 14 months to design and make the one-off timepiece. This gift stands as yet another perfect example of the world’s newfound focus on value-driven goods.

We can’t wait to see what Jay Z gets Beyonce for her birthday…

To see a close up look at the $5,000,000 timepiece Beyoncé got for her hubby, take a look at our video below…

The Hublot Aero Bang was one of Hublot Geneve’s best selling timepieces since the year 2007. 2013 brings a new derivation of the timepiece with the Hublot “Aero” concept of movement. The timepiece garnered its “Aero” derivation because it is designed to be seen as though the movement is airborne. It has a graphically open-worked dial that is available currently in the Classic Fusion line which is Hublot’s most classic timepiece.

This Hublot Aero Bang draws on classic styling while it also shows off and draws upon the stunning aesthetics of the timepiece’s intricacies and movement. The watch has a calendar chronograph that provides an even greater assurance against counterfeits being produced. This issue is on the rise currently and so makes it even more important to buy from authorized dealers, but Hublot is taking steps like this in their production to make it even more difficult for counterfeiters. Because of this, they show the Hublot Aero Bang’s movement which adds to the watch’s prestigious and finely crafted appeal.

The Hublot Chrono Aero has a 45mm diameter case with more rounded and soft lines in line with its 2 push-buttons that reside on the side of the crown. These buttons are the small second and 30 minute markers and are at placed at the 3 o’clock position and 9 o’clock position, respectively.

The timepiece is featured in two materials, titanium as well as King Gold that is a combination of Hublot’s stunning red gold with 5% platinum that gives it an beautiful red color and adds to its value! These colors pair perfectly on the Hublot timepiece with a black alligator strap onto black rubber that ensures a flexible and perfectly fitting band that can remain durable. The Hublot Chrono Aereo also features a 42-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 50meters. Customers are able to custom order a Titanium or King Gold bracelets if they would prefer metal bracelet’s for their timepieces.

A year that marked a highly successful partnership between Ferrari and Hublot Geneve is coming to an end! It delivered on both commercial and relationship based goals the companies had set for each other. The first two Hublot Big Bang timepieces produced in the partnership were the Big Bang Magic Gold and the Big Bang Titanium. This stunning new technology matched perfectly with Ferrari’s strong brand image and passion for technology being combined with art & constant development. Promotionally, the companies worked together at more than 130 events!

Hublot Chairman and brand ambassador, Jean-Claude Biver, welcomed the success alongside the CEO of Hublot, Ricardo Guadalupe. This has furthered their motivation for 2013 and allowed them to continue to grow their brand and collection of fine Hublot timepieces. Because of these mutual feelings of success, Hublot recently announced the production of three more timepieces that will be added to the 45mm Big Bang collection.

Most notably, the Hublot Big Bang Ferrari “Red Magic Carbon” is the symbol of the brand’s progress towards verticalisation. The watch has a case and movement designed, developed, and produced to completion by the Hublot manufacture. Developments such as this mark the sign of a truly great timepiece brand as all Swiss brands hope to be able to say that their watches are made completely in-house by ONLY their parts, movements, jewels, and highly skilled craftsman.

The UNICO movement used in the watch was designed, machined, and even developed all within the walls of the Hublot headquarters. The practical flyback chronograph allows the user to reset their timepiece at any time. The UNICO movement is unique in the watchmaking industry due to its two push-buttons with date indicator, and most notably its position with dual coupling and the notable “column wheel” visible on the dial side. The development of this “column wheel” required a completely original design through its design and development phase. It is unique in that the hour marker is moved by the barrel and without the aid of a jumper in the chronograph mechanism. This simplifies the design and in doing so improves not only reliability but also its strength. The resulting timepiece has only 330 components due to the improvements they made in the Hublot factory.

Since 2009 when Hublot’s Big Bang was launched, they have been making constant progress and the Hublot BIg Bang “Red Magic Carbon” is the result! The Hublot technical office has worked hand-in-hand with the Hublot Engineering laboratory as well as the Hublot Service Department to get to this point so they are more than slightly proud of the achievement.

Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to impress with their constant development and implementation of haute horlogerie. For 2013, they have unveiled the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grand Tradition Tourbillon Cylindrique Quantieme Perpetual.

The watch is made in a platinum case with measurements as follows: 42mm x 13mm. The stunning Master Grand Tradition Tourbillon will also have double sapphire crystals to display both its outer and inner beauty and engineering perfection. The Automatic movement is constructed with 49 jewels and has a power-reserve of 48 hours. The watch will have moon-phase complication, a perpetual calendar complication, and finally a tourbillon.

This Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece’s name is derived from the shape of its cylindrical tourbillon complication in part as well its tribute to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s fine history of watchmaking skill & art.
