A diamond’s value, qualities and even its identity are determined based from four key factors, the 4C’s. The 4C’s are:
- Carat – Diamond Carat Weight refers specifically to a diamond’s weight. A metric carat is defined as 200 milligrams.
- Color – Diamond Color is a measurement of a diamond’s lack of color because the majority of diamonds are most desirable when they are most white.
- Clarity – Diamond Clarity is a way to measure the level of tiny imperfections that exist within almost all diamonds except the very finest.
- Cut – When balancing the many characteristics diamonds have in picking the perfect stone for your bride to be, the quality of cut is often a diamond’s most important attribute.
