Daytona Beach, FL— Nick Boulle hit the track for the first time this past weekend for the Roar Before the ROLEX 24 with his recently announced lineup at Park Place Motorsports. The three strong teammates included the two factory Porsche drivers: Patrick Long (USA) and Matt Campbell (AUS), alongside team principal and driver Patrick Lindsey (USA).

The team drove the brand new 2019 Porsche GT3R at the Michelin Endurance Championship, and they will drive the same vehicle at the ROLEX 24 at Daytona, the Sebring 12 Hour, 6 Hours of the Glen and Petit Le Mans. The upcoming race, the ROLEX 24, is certainly the crown jewel of the championship that fittingly hands the winner of each class the coveted ROLEX Daytona in steel and 18K yellow gold.

The Roar Before the Rolex 24 kicked off the racing season at Daytona as the three-day test served as the final dress rehearsal before the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The Roar Before the 24 gave teams in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship the opportunity to test their cars, engines, drivers and crew ahead of the season-opening Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona at the Daytona International Speedway. Drivers and engineers ran through pit stops at speed, driver change practice, tune their car’s suspensions and aero settings.

The test marked the first time Boulle had been on the track since a second-place finish in Johnson Equipment Company’s LMP1 car at the Classic 24 Hours alongside Randy Johnson. It also marked his first time in the Porsche GT3 car, which Porsche only debuted weeks before to the world.

Long, Campbell, Lindsey and Boulle each left the test feeling positive about the car’s development and how the weekend shaped up. Boulle is now focused on preparing for the race weekend in the #73 Park Place Motorsports Porsche GT3, with the chance to win another ROLEX Daytona at the top of each of his mind.

The 57th running of the race will mark Boulle’s fourth chance to race for a win at the ROLEX 24 Hours of Daytona, this time in the most competitive category of the race, GT Daytona, which features more than 25 cars in the class. The GT cars feature manufacturers from Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Audi, Mercedes and BMW with engines producing up to 550hp and massive aerodynamic upgrades from their road going form.

Boulle commented, “For sure we had a successful weekend. I’m learning the new car well that the two Patrick’s and Matt obviously know very well so I’m excited for the race. The Porsche GT3 car itself is obviously beautiful, but the technology and development behind the car is surreal. It’s going to be a competitive race in GTD so hopefully we’re right where we need to be at the end. I know Patrick Long, Matt Campbell, Patrick Lindsey and myself are going to make for a strong lineup, so now we just have to get there, and see what we can put together!”

The ROLEX 24 Hours of Daytona takes place Jan. 26-27 with the green flag waving Saturday, January 26th at 12:35 pm. ET and concluding Sunday, January 27th at 12:35 pm. The race can be watched live in its entirety from home with NBCSN, NBC Sports online and IMSA.tv. The race is also broadcasted live over the air with IMSA Radio. The McFadden & Miller Story now spans seven decades of construction excellence. Today McFadden & Miller retains its position as a premier design/builder in the DFW area. Former IMSA Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona class winner, Nick Boulle — of de Boulle, an independent jewelry salon in Dallas and Houston, enjoyed podium celebrations once again this past weekend in Daytona. This time, the Texas-based driver drove in the Johnson Equipment Company Pescarolo LMP1 car around the steep banks of Daytona International Speedway.

Nick was co-driving alongside Randy Johnson, of Dallas, TX, in what is known as the Classic 24 Hours of Daytona. The race which takes place over 24 hours involves the car racing for one hour during every 6 hours that pass by for a combined time that determines finishing order. The pair would compete in the ultra fast Group E category which featured a range of prototypes ranging from the Pescarolo LMP1 car Randy & Nick drove to the Audi R8 LMP1 car that won Le Mans and the Sebring 12 Hours some years earlier.

In what was only his first day behind the wheel of an LMP1 car, Boulle qualified the car in 3rd place behind former factory ace and multi-time Le Mans winner, Andy Wallace in the Audi R8, and American professional racer, Butch Leitzinger, despite being caught out by traffic on his quickest lap. In addition to being a historically significant Le Mans racer, the Pescarolo 07 LMP1 car is astonishingly fast with its 720hp JUDD V-10 Engine that revs to more than 9,000 RPM. The drivers hit speeds as high as 197mph in to the Bus Stop section of the Daytona Speedway and topped out at 202 mph in to turn 1 as they jumped on to the carbon-carbon brakes at the end of the banking.

Nick started race 1 for the racing duo and was able to move the car up one position during the hour long race to finish in second just ahead of the legendary Audi R8 LMP1 car. Randy took the wheel for race 2 and drove the car to a strong finish ahead of the other Pescarolo LMP1 car in 4th position. He performed exceptionally well against the competitive all-pro lineup of the Audi R8 through the 60-minute race. Boulle started race 3 not only setting fastest lap of the field but also cruising to a win with the Audi R8 of Andy Wallace in chase.

In race 4, Nick Boulle took the hole shot thanks to a perfectly timed start as he was able to get the inside line in to turn 1 despite starting on the outside. Despite dealing with fading rear grip, Nick had the task of reeling in the time lost to the Audi R8 overnight of 58 seconds. After the one-hour race, Nick had closed down the 58 second gap to within 3 seconds of the overall win. Sadly, pushing through traffic cost too much time and the pair rolled across the line in second place to end the Classic 24 Hours of Daytona.

Nick Boulle:

“This was my first time racing at the Classic 24 Hours and it has been such a fun weekend. Randy has been amazing to work with and did such a good job, improving the car and his driving every single session. We made a great team. I never thought I would say I was driving a LMP1 car on the banks of Daytona at more than 200mph, so this is definitely something I’ll remember forever. I’m looking forward to the next outing we have in the Pescarolo!”

After a strong run in this year’s 24 Heures du Mans, de Boulle Motorsports enjoyed podium celebrations again this past weekend. This time, the Texas-based driver drove in Rinaldi Racing’s Ferrari 488 GT3 car alongside co-drivers Pierre Ehret, Rick Yoon and Murad Sultanov.

Unlike the Daytona 24 Hours and 24 Hours of Le Mans where the field is a mix of GT cars and super-fast prototypes that look nothing like road cars, the TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps is the greatest GT-only event in the world. The race features the latest racecars from almost all of the world’s most famous marques: Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes, Nissan, Bentley, Lexus, Honda, Jaguar, McLaren and Lamborghini.

The TOTAL 24 Hours of Spa is considered the crown jewel of the Blancpain Endurance Series which encompasses 4 three-hour, multi-driver events at Europe’s top circuits, including Monza, Silverstone, Paul Ricard and Barcelona, in addition this weekend’s 24 hours race at Spa-Francorchamps. Racing in the AM category (there are Pro, Pro-Am and AM classes in this championship), FIA-silver rated pro driver Nick (American / British dual national) has been added under the special rules of the Spa 24 Hour event, sharing the car with its regular strong FIA-bronze rated Rinaldi Racing amateur teammates Pierre Ehret (Germany/USA), Rick Yoon (South Korea) and Murat Sultanov (Russia).

After a slow start in qualifying thanks to an ill-timed red flag for a wreck on circuit, the #488 Ferrari started from 8th place in class. Boulle would be the second driver in the car and was able to push the car up into the 4th position after his one-hour stint moving into the races 3rd hour. Eventually, the team through consistency and a strong average pace during each stint was fighting for top honors in their class. With hours to go, the team was confident in their podium result and would push hard to catch the cars ahead.

Nick Boulle:

“It takes only one lap around Spa-Francorchamps, or maybe just one trip up Eau Rouge, to realize how special this race is. The circuit is demanding on every driver both physically and mentally with any mistakes being punished very severely thanks to the many fast corners. Despite this, the Rinaldi Racing boys and our #488 Ferrari 488 GT3 car performed flawlessly through the whole weekend. It’s amazing how fast these cars can go around here and yet how reliable they’re able to make them. The car seemed to somehow get better and better through the race weekend and so did our the guys on each pit stop. To race here is an honor by itself, but being here with our close relationship with the series’ primary sponsor, Blancpain, it’s been even more special. I don’t think this will be my last time racing in the Blancpain GT Series if I can help it! I have to give a huge thanks to my co-drivers as well as Circle Y Holdings from Dallas, TX for making this weekend possible”

Former Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona class winner, Nick Boulle— of de Boulle, an independent jewelry salon in Dallas and Houston, has been confirmed as part of Rinaldi Racing’s lineup in their #488 Ferrari GT3 race car.

Nick Boulle will join season long lineup of drivers Rick Yoon, Pierre Ehret, and Murad Sultanov. The 24-hour endurance race is part of the SRO Blancpain Endurance Cup that features four classes – Pro, Pro-Am, Am and National Cup. The #488 will enter the AM Category where a trio of Bronze-rated drivers is allowed to select one Silver driver who can do a maximum of 6 hours during the 24 hour race – Boulle will fill this role.

Coming off an 8th place finish in class at the Le Mans 24 Hour, Nick joined Rinaldi racing and his co-drivers for the Spa 24 Hour test day which took place earlier this week.

Speaking at the test, Nick commented, “My time at the official test was primarily spent getting acquainted with the car as it is a big change from all of my prototype driving experience. We worked on setup and I enjoyed adjusting the car to suit my style, but I left with a lot of data in terms of how I need to adapt to get the maximum from the car.”

The race will take place a the Spa Francorchamps Circuit near Spa, Belgium which is known for its blindingly fast uphill first corner complex called “Eau Rouge.” Eau Rouge sees drivers take it flat out in 5th gear before a long straight and a hill so steep that it makes the exit blind and the car get light as drivers crest the Raidillon – the final portion of the complex. The circuit itself is known as the world’s ultimate driving track and is between two hills in beautiful Belgian countryside.

Adding excitement and history to the weekend is the fact that the team utilizes a stunning bright green Ferrari 488 GT3 race car. The car itself weighs 2,750 pounds and has the ~600 horsepower bi-turbo Ferrari 488’s V-8 engine paired with an upgraded racing gearbox. Paired with vastly upgraded aerodynamic carbon-fiber bodywork the car is astoundingly quick around the high stakes 7-kilometer racing circuit.

The Total 24 Hours of Spa will mark de Boulle Motorsport’s first entry in professional motorsports in the growing GT3 category. The Spa 24 Hours is in fact known as the largest GT3 race in the world. This year, the race will feature 68 entries very strong entries from manufacturers including: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes and BMW.

The 70th edition of the Total 24 Hours of Spa will take place with testing starting on on July 26th and the race itself starting on July 28th and finishing on July 29th.

Dallas, TX —The de Boulle Motorsports team claimed 8th place in the ultra competitive LMP2 category of this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. For his debut at the endurance racing classic and what is known as the greatest race in the world, Nick Boulle joined the Prototype entry of Jackie Chan DC Racing in their #33 Ligier JS P217.

This year de Boulle Motorsports partnered with Meridian Veterinary Capital, Concepta Labs, Hydro Carbon Exchange, Dallas Auto Exchange and SpecChem to reach a worldwide audience at the number one sporting event. Each of these logos were featured prominently on the red and black Ligier LMP2 car that rolled off in Jackie Chan DC Racing livery.

The demanding 24-hour endurance race saw drivers from around the world take the start with Rafael Nadal waving the flag to start the race for its 95th running. This endurance race tests each three-driver team, pit crew and equipment around the historic 8.6-mile Circuit de La Sarthe, which only sees use two times per year because it includes many lengths of French public highway. Cars will reach speeds of up to 215 miles per hour.

The race was heavily attended with celebrities and many of the world’s most respected drivers competing in the field. Fernando Alonso’s attendance brought huge fanfare alongside Jenson Button, Juan Pablo Montoya, Bruno Senna, Paul DiResta and more.

Nick Boulle took the green flag in the car for the team in 17th position, after a less than ideal qualifying for the three-driver crew of Nick Boulle, David Cheng and Pierre Nicolet. During his stint, Boulle was able to move the car up to the 13th position by the end of hour 2.

After a long night which saw few incidents, the early morning hours brought drama for many of the teams. Through the night with low light and pitch darkness at parts of the circuit many drivers chose to be more cautious, but with light coming up and the track being at its best the times began to tumble around 6am. Along with this, several cars in all classes of the race made hard contact with the barriers at some of the treacherous parts of the track. The #33 entry stayed largely out of trouble though.

Nick climbed into the car for the final stint of driving in the race and was tasked with taking the car into the top 10 of the LMP2 class. When the race finished, his goal was accomplished as the #33 car finished in 8th place in the LMP2 class and 12th overall in the competitive 65 car field.

“These moments will be with me forever, and I will never forget the fact that I was able to live out a childhood dream,” said Boulle. “It didn’t really set in until around my second time in the car as I drove up until just before night fall. I had this surreal moment as the sun has just set and I saw that I really was driving through the Porsche curves of the Circuit de La Sarthe at 155mph in darkness.”

About Dallas Auto Exchange
Crockett Gambrel founded Dallas Auto Exchange after spending over a decade being immersed in the cultures of two of the area’s most prestigious luxury auto groups. The lessons learned from the strong leadership teams at these outstanding organizations helped him form a solid foundation, a servant attitude, and a strong moral compass. He excelled at sales and building relationships with clients, and he was consistently recognized for his over-the-top customer service scores. The idea for Dallas Auto Exchange started when he realized the need for a company that could fill the void that is left between the two most common types of automotive dealerships. On one end of the spectrum you have the questionable cars, hidden problems, and sub-par ethics that are often found at bargain basement stores. On the other end are the luxury dealerships that typically offer great customer service, fancy perks and quality vehicles, but typically at substantially higher prices. His vision for Dallas Auto Exchange was to provide customers with unmatched overall value by offering solid cars, outstanding customer service, honest advice, and a transparent buying experience that was actually fun. Our expansive indoor showroom is modern and impeccably clean, but it isn’t furnished with priceless works of art, or rich mahogany furniture. We prefer to pass the savings on to you.
